Page Seven
of using two of the current locations would also apply here. Each
site would need to include two Courtrooms, two Chambers with adja-
cent reception areas, two Confcrencc;â–ºInterv:iew Rooms, a Jury Assem-
bly Room, a Jury Deliberation Room and sufficient general office
space to accommodate approximately six clerical personnel, their
files and records.
Some Advantages
Essentially identical, both in category and in dollars, to those
listed for the previous option of using, two current Facilities.
Some Disadvantages
To the General Public:
- Same as shown for previous, two - location option.
To Suburban Municipalities:
Five municipalities would no lons;cr receive rent payments from
the County.
Some suburban police personnel would have to travel a farther
distance to testify or conduct other business with the Court,
which could result in their being "out of service" for a longer
time. This inconvenience could he minimized by effective case
scheduling, and partly offset: by the certainty that a Judge
would in fact be available at the facility. Currently, a Judge
is not available in at ]east two of the Five faci.l.i.ties at any
given time.
Prosecutorial expense could rise it more prosecutor time (wait-
ing time) is expended at a single Inc .lit:y. Once again, ef-
fective case scheduling could minimize this factor.
