Approval <br />Of The <br />' Minutes <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />September 2, 1982 <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Little <br />Canada, Minnesota was held on the 2nd day of September, 1982 at <br />7:30 P.M. at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />The Following members of the Planning Commission were present: <br />Tom Ducharme <br />Sharon Timmons <br />Pete Costa <br />Gene DeLonais <br />Jim Steele <br />Roy French <br />The Following members of the Commission were absent: <br />LeRoy LeMay <br />Joseph Vitale <br />Myers Frattalone <br />As there were no corrections to the minutes of the August 5, 1982 <br />Commission meeting, Mr. Costa indicated that the minutes be approved <br />as submitted. <br />Sylvan Mr. Jim Cecka appeared before the Commission requesting approval of <br />Estates his preliminary plat for Sylvan Estates. Mr. Cecka informed the <br />Preliminary Commission that he had no objection to the Planner's recommendations <br />Plat for renaming the streets. However, Mr. Cecka would like the name <br />of Thunder Bay Road to remain. <br />The Planner indicated that the plat name was O.K., but the name <br />Sylvan for one of the streets should be changed. <br />Mr. French asked if these streets lined up with others so that the <br />same name could be carried through. The Planner replied that he <br />checked this and as the area is so broken up, there is no logical <br />street name that can be carried through. In fact, it might be <br />confusing in this instance to do this. <br />Mr. Cecka indicated that he is in the process of buying some of this <br />property. Cecka also indicated that Mr. Flynn has pulled out of the <br />picture. Mr. Cecka indicated that he is a contractor and would like <br />to begin work on the project next Spring or Summer. Cecka also <br />commenced that he understands that the City Council is not willing to <br />bond for this project and he would have to pay for the streets. <br />Ms. Timmons asked Mr. Cecka if he understood that he would have to pay <br />some sort of park land dedication fee, be it land or cash. Mr. Cecka <br />indicated that he would rather donate cash than land. <br />Page -1- <br />
