MINUTES City Council July 14, 1982 Johansen Mrs. Scalze informed she Council that the Council wrote the ordinance Variance and knew what it said. (Cont.) The Planner suggested that the variance could be granted pending adoption of the shoreland ordinance. Mrs. Scalze questioned that the votes were there to pass the request under the shoreland ordinance. The Attorney commented that it takes a 4 /5th's vote of the Council to pass a variance. Mr. Forsberg pointed out that at the last Council meeting the Council informed the Johansens' that it would be receptive to a variance. Mrs. Nardini stated that she did not feel the Council had the right to do that. Metal- tronics Industrial Revenue ` bonds Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -7 -344 - APPROVING THE VARIANCE FOR THE JOHANSEN SCREEN HOUSE AND ESTABLISHING A MORATORIUM ON ANY FURTHER CONSTRUCTION ON LAKESHORE UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE COUNCIL HAS ADOPTED THE SHORELAND MANAGEMENT ACT WHICH WILL HANDLE THESE MATTERS IN THE MANNER THAT THEY SHOULD BE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. Ayes (4) Scalze, Fahey, Hanson, Forsberg. Mayes (1) Nardini. Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 8, Page 295. '•!ayor Hanson opened the public hearing on the request of `fetal - tronics for approval of industrial revenue bonds. There was no one present ..wishing to speak on the request. Mrs. Nardini introduced the following' resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -7 -345 - CLOSING THE PUBLIC HEAPING ON CONSIDERATION OF GRANTING INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDS AS REQUESTED BY METAL- TRONICS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson.
