MINUTES <br />City Council <br />July 14, 1982 <br />Johansen Mrs. Scalze informed she Council that the Council wrote the ordinance <br />Variance and knew what it said. <br />(Cont.) <br />The Planner suggested that the variance could be granted pending <br />adoption of the shoreland ordinance. <br />Mrs. Scalze questioned that the votes were there to pass the request <br />under the shoreland ordinance. <br />The Attorney commented that it takes a 4 /5th's vote of the Council <br />to pass a variance. <br />Mr. Forsberg pointed out that at the last Council meeting the Council <br />informed the Johansens' that it would be receptive to a variance. <br />Mrs. Nardini stated that she did not feel the Council had the right <br />to do that. <br />Metal- tronics <br />Industrial <br />Revenue ` bonds <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82 -7 -344 - APPROVING THE VARIANCE <br />FOR THE JOHANSEN SCREEN HOUSE AND ESTABLISHING <br />A MORATORIUM ON ANY FURTHER CONSTRUCTION ON <br />LAKESHORE UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE COUNCIL HAS <br />ADOPTED THE SHORELAND MANAGEMENT ACT WHICH <br />WILL HANDLE THESE MATTERS IN THE MANNER THAT <br />THEY SHOULD BE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Fahey, Hanson, Forsberg. <br />Mayes (1) Nardini. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 8, Page 295. <br />'•!ayor Hanson opened the public hearing on the request of `fetal - tronics <br />for approval of industrial revenue bonds. There was no one present <br />..wishing to speak on the request. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following' resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82 -7 -345 - CLOSING THE PUBLIC <br />HEAPING ON CONSIDERATION OF GRANTING <br />INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDS AS REQUESTED BY <br />METAL- TRONICS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) Nardini, Hanson, Scalze, Forsberg, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution look Nc. 8, Page 206. <br />Page -4- <br />
