September 1, 1982
City of Little Canada
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minnesota 55117
Dear Sirs:
During the past nine years Benchmark Computer Systems, Inc.
has provided the best possible customer software support and
application program maintenance required for your individual
software needs. Virtually all software support during this
time has been provided to you free of charge.
The dramatic cost increases necessary to provide our customers
with hardware backup equipment, program assembly systems and
qualified personnel, have required that Benchmark begin
charging our customers for all software support beginning
September 15, 1982.
We realize that our customers require different levels of
software support, and for that reason we are offering two types
of software maintenance plans. The provisions of the two plans
are detailed in the attachments to this letter. Please
determine which plan best satisfies your software requirements,
and return the signed agreement to Benchmark Computer Systems,
Inc. by September 15, 1982.
If you do not wish to purchase one of the two maintenance
agreements, we will assume you want future software support
to be on a tir and materials basis. Under this option, any
additional support, including telephone assistance, will be
billable at the current rates plus expenses. Please see the
attachment regarding time and material charges for further
clarification.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Ric Gross
Benchmark Computer Systems, Inc.
