AGREEMENT <br />LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of <br />, 19, by and between the COUNTY OF RAMSEY, hereinafter <br />referred to as the "County" and the CITY OF LIfl1R CANADA , hereinafter <br />referred to as the "Municipality ". <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the parties to this Agreement are desirous of con- <br />tracting for the performance by the County of the hereinafter described . <br />law enforcement functions for, and within the boundaries of, the Munici-i <br />pality through the Ramsey County Sheriff; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Ramsey is agreeable to rendering such <br />services on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth; and <br />WHEREAS, such contracts are authorized and provided for by the <br />provisions of Minnesota Statutes 1957, Sec. 471.59, and Laws 1959, <br />Chapter 372. <br />NOW, THEREFOR, pursuant to the terms of the aforesaid statutes, <br />it is agreed as follows: <br />1. The County agrees, through the Sheriff of the County of <br />Ramsey, to provide patrol and police protection within the corporate <br />limits of Municipality to the extent and in the matter hereinafter set <br />forth. <br />Except as otherwise hereinafter specifically set forth, such <br />services shall only encompass duties and functions of the type coming <br />within the jurisdiction of and customarily rendered by the Sheriff of <br />the County of Ramsey under the statutes. <br />-1- <br />
