Mr. Don Berry, Supervisor
Page 2
You agreed that there were two leaks in Apple Valley on 2/1./82
and 2/19/82. Our outstanding letters will be answered. The
reports submitted on June 28, 1982 are limited. We question
the following:
1. Proposal for groundwater monitoring, to include location,
analytical procedures, installation data, etc.
2. A correlation of data previously generated. As you know,
we disputed the Geotechnical work. Are you satisfied that
Dr. Csallany can use their data in completing the hydro -
geological study?
Until further notice we want progress reports every two weeks in
writing on the 2/19/82 recovery project.
Bob Dullinger will be handling the two leaks on Line 2 in Little
Canada and Maplewood reported during April, 1982. Please proceed
as discussed in our meeting.
At this time we wish to reaffirm our concern for proper contacts
with our office. We encourage meetings and at any time can
schedule a conference with minimal notice.
Yours very truly,
4(1
Dick Kable, Head
Emergency Response Unit
Enforcement Section
Division of Water Quality
DK:bh
cc: Ivan Huntoon, Office of Pipeline Safety Operations, Kansas City
George Madany, U.S. EPA, Region V, Chicago
City Council, C/O John Walker, Mayor, Newport
City Council, C/O City Clerk, Apple Valley
City Council, C/O City Clerk, Inver Grove Hts.
City Council, C/O City Clerk, Maplewood
City Council, C/O City Clerk, Little Canada
City Council, C/O City Clerk, Circle Pines
