811. GAME ROOMS <br />811.010. DEFINITIONS. For the purpose of this Chapter, certain terms <br />and words are defined as follows: <br />1. Game Room. Any room or area, open to the public, located <br />within a building or structure, such as a bar, restaurant, <br />lounge, supper club or bowling establishment, the purpose <br />and use of which is to provide amusement or entertainment <br />through the operation of mechnical amusement devices. <br />2. Mechanical Amusement Device. Any machine or device which <br />operates or may be operated by the public by inserting a <br />coin or coins therein and intended for entertainment or <br />amusement. This definition includes such devices as pin <br />ball machines, table shuffleboard games, table hockey and <br />soccer games, electronic devices, motion picture machines, <br />and all other machines and devices which operate or are <br />operated for the entertainent or amusement of the public. <br />811.020. LICENSE REQUIRED. No person, firm or corporation shall own <br />or operate a game room within the City of Little Canada without first having <br />applied for and received a license therefore as hereinafter provided. <br />811.030. APPLICATION. Each applicant for a game room license shall <br />apply to the City Clerk upon such forms as are provided by the City and shall <br />answer all questions and provide all information required on said form. <br />811.040. LICENSE FEE. Game room licenses shall be issued for one (1) <br />year periods to qualified applicants. The annual license fee is One Hundred <br />Dollars ($100.00) and upon applicant's initial application, said fee shall be <br />paid at the time of making application. In the event said application is <br />rejected, the full fee shall be refunded. <br />811.050. REVOCATION. Any license granted pursuant to this Chapter <br />may be suspended or revoked by the City Council at any time without a hearing <br />or notice to licensee. <br />811.060. HOURS OF OPERATION. All game rooms, as herein defined, <br />shall close by 10:00 o'clock p.m. and shall not open for business earlier than <br />9:00 o'clock a.m. Excepted from this requirement are those game rooms which <br />operate in conjunction with a bar, supper club, tavern, or similar <br />establishment. In those cases the closing time shall be no earlier than the <br />lawful closing time of said establishment. <br />
