MINUTES <br />City Council <br />IMay 26, 1982 <br />Ordinance The City Clerk stated that the City does have streets where the <br />No. 183 (Cont.) blacktop is not on center. <br />Burger King <br />Sign <br />Location <br />Mrs. Scalze commented that the City should be prepared where a <br />sign could be located one foot off blacktop. <br />The Engineer agreed that there are some streetswhere the blacktop <br />is not exactly where it should be. Mr. Forsberg stated that the <br />City must go by the location of the road to establish where the <br />sign will go. Mrs. Scalze stated that the ordinance should say <br />five feet from the blacktop. <br />The Planner commented that the Burger King sign wi11 stay in its <br />present location. <br />The City Clerk reported that the City has received a letter from <br />Agenda Burger King regarding parking lot layout and the location of their <br />No. 13 sign. Burger King has requested that the City approve this letter. <br />Taco John's <br />Sign <br />Agenda - <br />Item N. 14 <br />A & W Sign <br />And <br />Agreement <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 15 <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82 -5 -298 — APPROVING THE <br />PLANS AS SUBMITTED BY BURGER KING FOR <br />PARKING LAYOUT AND THE LOCATION OF THEIR <br />POLE SIGN <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />Ayes (5) Nardini, Forsberg, Hanson, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 8, Page 250. <br />Mr. Fahey commented that no action is necessary on the Taco John's <br />sign as the ordinance allows it to be five feet from the property line. <br />Mr. Fahey suggested that the City Clerk notify Taco John's of this. <br />The City Clerk reported that Mr.Brodie is the leasee of the A & W <br />property and does not feel he should sign the A & W Road Agreement, <br />but that the owners of the property should sign this agreement. <br />The Clerk reported that the property owners do not want to sign. Also <br />the A & W would like to relocate their sign. <br />The Clerk also reported that Mr. Brodie has submitted an extended <br />letter of credit to the City. <br />Council suggested that action be tabled on this matter. <br />1 0 <br />
