April 15, 1982
• Ramsey County
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC. WORKS
3377 North Rico Street
Saint Paul, Minnesota 55112
(612) 484 -9104
Mr. Roger Glanzer
City of Little Canada
515 East Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minnesota 55117
Sight Distance Restriction
Edgerton Street and Labore Road
Divisions of:
Engineering
Maintenance
Mobile Equipment
Environmental Services
Ramsey County has received complaints regarding sight distance problems at the
intersection of Edgerton Street and Labore Road.
A field review of the intersection revealed three large spruce trees on the southwest
corner, obstructing eastbound Labore Road sight of vehicles northbound on Edgerton
Street. Also, a Northern States Power guy pole is located on this corner, on County
Right of Way.
As you are aware, Labore Road east of Edgerton Street is a City street. We feel it
would be appropriate for the City to request the property owner to trim the lower
branches from these trees to a height of five feet above the ground. The County will
contact Northern States Power and request the existing guy pole be moved to a more
desirable location.
Hopefully, when the trees are trimmed and the guy pole relocated, sight distance
problems at this corner will be eliminated.
Paul Kirkwold, P.E.
Traffic and Planning Engineer
PK:m
ai
APR I9 1982
CITY OF
LITTLE CANADA
58
