Office of:
JOSEPH G. CHLEBECK, Clerk
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minn. 55117
484-2177
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
June 4, 1982
MEMO:
TO: The City Council of Little Canada
FROM: Edward E. Locke
Building Inspector
SUBJ: Extension Request from Canabury Pond
MAYOR
Raymond Hanson
COUNCIL
Michael Fahey
Beverly Scalze
Dennis Forsberg
Mugs Nardini
Item No. 1: Emergency Lighting - An extension for this item is under-
standable because of the high cost and time needed for
getting bids and doing the work.
Item No. 3: The use of a key to exit the garage into the building or
to the outside - This item is a serious problem because a
person could get trapped in the garage with no way out.
I do not recommend an extention of time, because the
hazard is high and the cost of changing the locks is
relatively low.
Item No. 5: Interior finish - The cedar trim is a highly combustible
wood that a person could set it on fire with a cigarette
lighter, and if this happens the main exits would be
an infernal.
Item No. 7: Rated wall between the pool room and hallway - The code
calls for a one hour hallway construction. The pool room
has a low hazard for a fire. This order would require
them to prove their hallway is of fire resistive construc-
tion; if not the cost of time would be a great deal.
Edward E. Locke
Building Inspector
City of Little Canada
EEL:bj
o
