CONTRACT FOR FIRE PROTECTION <br />1982 <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada is authorized by law to provide <br />fire protection for all of the property in said City, and <br />WHEREAS, the Little Canada Fire Department, Incorporated, is a <br />volunteer Fire Department, operating as a non - profit association under <br />the laws of the State of Minnesota and owns fire equipment, trucks,. etc. <br />for fighting fires, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Little Canada and the Little Canada Fire <br />Department, Incorporated, hereinafter referred to as the City and the <br />Corporation, respectively, in consideration of the following provisions <br />and covenants. do hereby enter into this contract and agreement on the <br />day and date hereunto subscribed. <br />1. The City hereby engages the services of the Corporation to <br />answer fire calls and fight fires and generally to provide fire protec- <br />tion to public and private property within the City of Little Canada <br />for a period of one (1) year commencing January 1, 1982 and <br />terminating December 31, 1982 <br />2. The Department agrees to answer all fire calls directed to it <br />by the public for assistance in fighting fires of any nature and des- <br />cription within the legal limits of the City. <br />3. The City agrees to pay to the Corporation for its services <br />during the period above specified, and the Corporation agrees to accept <br />as full remuneration for its services during the said period. the sum <br />of sixty -two thousand, one hundred a thirty -five dollars (562.135) <br />payable in advance upon the execution of this Contract. <br />4. The Department shall fully and completely report all facts, in- <br />formation, and data required by the City as specified on the form to be <br />provided by the City for that purpose, and such form shall be subscribed <br />by the Chief or other officer of the Corporation who was in charge and <br />present at the fire so reported. <br />10 <br />
