I started the program of fire inspection for the City of
White Bear Lake in June of 1979. The method which I chose
to start the fire inspection was:
a. Greatest loss of life (e.g. hotels, apartments, motels,
where people sleep).
b. School and churches and day -care centers.
c.. Shopping centers and restaurants (where the buildtup
of grease would cause the fast hot fire maybe trapping
people..
d. Special request inspections would be done right away
when asked.
3. At all times the Fire Cheif knew what I was doing and he
was sent a copy of any orders of correction issued through
my office.
4. The U.F.C. is very close to the U.B.C. and they both try to
end up at the same end, the safety of the public and the
prevention of loss of life and property, through safe building.
5. My qualifications for the job is the understanding and the
ability to interpret the code and the enforcement of the fire
code, through reason, showing if necessary the courts systems.
/ -/
