Item (6) As in the Restrictive Covenant part of the original application, the <br />notarized signatures of all Owners must be included. If the land is <br />subject to a Contract for Deed, the Vendee and also the Vendor must <br />sign the notices. <br />Item (7) Enter the date on which the agricultural preserve status will <br />expire. This expiration date must be at least eight (8) years from <br />the date of the notice listed in Item (6). <br />After you complete this Notice of Expiration, it must reach your local <br />Authority because your decision must be properly recorded by the County <br />Recorder. You may elect to take the Notice directly to the office of your <br />local Authority, or you may mail it to the Authority. If you mail the Notice, <br />it is recommended that you send it by certified or registered mail so that you <br />receive verification of its arrival. <br />Whichever method you choose to notify your Authority, remember to keep -a copy <br />of this Notice for your records. <br />Authority- Initiated Expiration <br />If the Authority initiates the end of an agricultural preserve, it must <br />complete Items (1) through (5), ignore Items (6) and (7), and cdmplete Items <br />(8) and (9). Before issuing the Notice, the Authority will take the steps <br />noted in Item (8): the planning and zoning of the land will be changed, and <br />the land will be decertified. <br />Item (8) When the Authority has taken the steps outlined here, a <br />representative of the Authority will sign the Notice and have his <br />signature notarized. <br />Item (9) The Authority will then enter the date on which the agricultural <br />preserve status of the land will end. This expiration date must be <br />at least eight (8) years from the date of the Notice listed in Item <br />(8). <br />When the Authority initiates expiration of the agricultural preserve status of <br />your land, it will inform you by sending you this Notice via registered mail. <br />After Notice is Given <br />Whether the landowner or the Authority initiates expiration of the <br />agricultural preserve, it is the responsibility of the authority to notify the <br />County Recorder of the expiration. <br />The agricultural preserve expires and all benefits cease eight (8) years from <br />the date notice is given. <br />
