MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER Il, 2006 <br />Montour noted that over the years the City has struggled Co work with Mr. <br />Sedaghat. However, the City hears more and more things that he has <br />done. Montour felt that a reconsideration was not appropriate and felt the <br />City needed Co move forward on this issue. <br />Keis agreed. He noted that this issue has not been easy for the Council or <br />for Mr. Sedaghat. Keis stated that Mr. Sedaghat should have taken the <br />Council seriously and cleaned up his property. Keis felt the issue was too <br />far down the road at this point, and felt matters would be more <br />complicated by taking a step backward. <br />Blesener noted that the Conditional Use Permits that had been granted Mr. <br />Sedaghat allowed him to have 20 repairable vehicles and 30 for-sale <br />vehicles. He noted that Mr. Sedaghat has never complied with that <br />limitation. Blesener felt that while Mr. Sedaghat agreed to those <br />limitation, he never intended to comply. He only did so to get the CUP's <br />issued by Che City. Blesener noted that the City has been dealing with this <br />issue for at least five years, and for the past 3'/z have received the same <br />promises from Mr. Sedaghat He noted that the results have been the same <br />as well, that is zero. Blesener pointed out that Chere is no one on the <br />Council willing to give Mr. Sedaghat more time to clean up his property. <br />Sedaghat asked why the City has to make an already hard life even harder. <br />Sedaghat asked for one last chance, an additional 30 days. <br />Blesener noted that l05 days ago the City gave Mr. Sedaghat an additional <br />90 days, but there were no results. <br />Sedaghat indicated that there is only so much one person can do. Blesener <br />noted that Mr. Sedaghat has kept bringing in vehicles to the property even <br />after the September 27°i meeting. <br />Sedaghat stated that his problem is that he has kept accumulating cars and <br />does not know what to do with them. He indicated that he would get a <br />place to move them. Blesener pointed out that Mr. Sedaghat can move his <br />cars at any time, but the City is done granting him any extensions. <br />Mr. Sedaghat indicated that he lives in fear every day of what will happen <br />to him financially. He indicated that he made the wrong choice in moving <br />his business to Little Canada. Blesener stated that he did not make the <br />wrong choice in moving his business Co Little Canada, Sedaghat made the <br />wrong choice in not operating his business as he agreed to. <br />12 <br />
