MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 11, 2006 HAND GOODS Dealers Licenses. Mr. Caputa is purchasing Lincoln Pawn & Jewelry DEALERS from Randy and Mary Smothers. Blesener noted the report from the LICENSES - Ramsey County Sheriff's Department which indicates that Lincoln LINCOLN Pawn & Jewelry has run a good business, working cooperatively with PAWN & the Sheriff's Department. The Sheriff's Department is recommending JEWELRY that the new owner install a camera surveillance system in the store. Mr. Caputa reported that the store has cameras in place, but the recording devices need to be hooked up. Mr. Caputa reported that he would do so, operating the surveillance system as recommended by the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department. Mr. Caputa reported that he has worked with the Smothers for the past two months learning the business. He indicated thaC his intention was to maintain the same business practices as the Smothers. Montour asked if Mr. Caputa would operate with an automated pawn system. Mr. Caputa reported that the business currenfly has this system and he would continue to use it. There was no one fi•om the general public present wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Allan, seconded by Montour, Che public hearing was closed. Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2006-IO-235 - ISSUING A PAWN BROKERS LICENSE AND SECOND HAND GOODS DEALERS LICENSE TO MR. WILLIAM DAVID CAPUTA, DBA LINCOLN PAWN & JEWELRY, FOR THE LICENSE PERIOD NOVEMBER I, 2006 THROUGH DECEMBER 3I, 2006 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
