MINUTES <br />CITX COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 25, 2006 <br />The City Administrator suggested that City staff do more research on this <br />issue, investigating options that might result in a reduced cost as well as <br />the feelings of the neighborhood. The Administrator reported that an <br />updated report will be presented at an upcoming Council meeting. <br />Keis suggested that one option might be for the neighborhood to keep <br />garage lights on during the evening hours to help light up the <br />neighborhood. <br />LIFT STATION The City Administrator reviewed the Ciry Engineer's letter dated <br />MODIFICATIONS October 20, 2006 outlining the bids received for installation of lift station <br />equipment in the County Road B-2 and Jessica Court lift stations. The <br />Administrator noted that due to the wide variation in bid amounts, Che low <br />bidder has been contacted to ensure that no large error was made in <br />preparing the bid. The Engineer is also reference-checking this contractor. <br />The Administrator reported that if an error has been made, the contractor <br />can withdraw his bid. If that occurs, the remaining bids would likely be <br />rejected and the project rebid. <br />Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-10-26I -AWARDING THE LOW BID OF <br />ENGINEERING CONSTR UCTION INNOVATIONS IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $52,300.00 FOR MODIFICATIONS TO THE COUNTY <br />ROAD B-2 AND JESSICA COURT LIFT STATIONS SUBJECT TO <br />SATISFACTORY REFERENCE CHECK OF THE LOW BIDDER <br />AND APPROVAL OF THEIR BID BY THE CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />REPLACEMENT The City Administrator presented a quote for replacement of the City's <br />OF SPEED traffic speed board which was jusC recently vandalized. He noted that the <br />BOARD City should be reimbursed by the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance <br />Trust for most of this cost. The Council felt that Che speed board was an <br />excellent speed deterrent, and that the board should be replaced. <br />Ms. Allan introduced Che following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />
