CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
Office of:
JOSEPH G. CHLEBECK, Clerk
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minn. 55117
484 -2177
May 19, 1983
MEMO
TO: City Council
FROM: Ed Locke
RE: John Thomas Swimming Pool Fence
MAYOR
Raymond Hanson
COUNCIL
Michael Fahey
Beverly Scalze
Dennis Forsberg
Mugs Nardini
Mr. Thomas has moved his pool to be placed behind the 30 foot set back. There
is still the problem of the fence in the front yard. The pool ordinance re-
quires a 4 foot high fence and the fence ordinance allows a maximum of 31 foot
high fence in the front yard. In order to clear up Mr. Thomas's fence problem
one of two things will have to be done:
1. Mr. Thomas will have to come back in and request a 6" variance for
the fence, or
2. Change the fence ordinance to 4 feet high in the front yard. This
would solve any problems of conflict in the future.
I would recommend in favor of changing the fence ordinance to be a 4 foot high
fence in the front yard.
,„„
Edward E.
