Admission Policy <br />Newgate is a private tax - exempt <br />vocational school for special <br />students. Newgate does not <br />charge admission or tuition and <br />is a financially self supporting <br />agency. <br />Admission is reserved for eco- <br />nomically disadvantaged stu- <br />dents for whom traditional <br />educational or vocational re- <br />sources are not feasible. Prefer- <br />ence is given to students <br />referred by juvenile court ser- <br />vices or by the public school <br />out -of- school youth program. <br />Students must be 16 years old to <br />apply.
