MINUTES <br />Planning Commission <br />March 3, 1083 <br />Costa Mr. Timmons asked if Mr. Costa was opposed to the conditional use <br />Farm Building permit being limited to agricultural uses. Mr. Costa stated that <br />he was not opposed to this. <br />Sign <br />Ordinance <br />Mrs. Timmons asked the Planner if he should review this prior <br />to Planning Commission action. The Planner replied that the permit <br />could he processed with the stipulation that the building, he used <br />for agricultural uses and he will check out the setbacks before <br />the matter gets to the Council. <br />Mr. Vitale recommended approval of the conditional use permit for <br />the Costa agricultural building to he located on the northwest <br />corner of the Costa property with the stipulation that the building <br />be used for agricultural uses only. <br />Motion seconded by Mr. Ducharme. <br />Motion carried 7 — 0. Mr. Costa abstained. <br />Mr. Licht reported that the Little Canada Mall will be coming in <br />with a proposed text amendment to the City's ordinance as it regards <br />pylons. <br />At this point in the meeting Mr. Vitale left. <br />Mrs. Timmons indicated that she liktthe Roseville ordinance as it <br />regards temporary signs. Timmons stated that she liked the fact that <br />rotating signs were not allowed. <br />Mrs. Timmons stated that she also liked that only two temporary <br />signs were permitted per year on a property. Therefore, in the <br />case of the Market Place, they would only be allowed two temporary <br />signs per year. <br />Mr. Licht suggested that he could take the things that the Commission <br />liked and build them into the Little Canada ordinance. Mr. Licht <br />stated that the Little Canada ordinance was more comprehensive than <br />Roseville's. Licht stated that he could draft something up and send <br />it out to the Commission members for their comments. <br />Mrs. Timmons stated that she also liked the fact that no mobile <br />signs on a trailer were permitted unless they were temporary signs. <br />Timmons felt these should only he allowed twice per year <br />Timmons also stated that she liked the fact that Roseville had a <br />percentageof space that window signs could occupy. <br />Page —10— <br />
