MEMORANDUM
northwest associEted consultants, inc.
TO: Joe Chlebeck
FROM: Stephen Grittman
DATE: 3 November 1988
RE: Little Canada - Carla Lane Enforcement - Severin
FILE NO: 758.09 - 88.65
I have checked on the driveway issue at 790 Carla Lane per your
recommendation. I visited the site at approximately 9:30 a.m.
this date. At this time there were two automobiles parked in the
driveway, conforming to the Ordinance. There was an additional
vehicle, a black pickup truck, parked illegally in the required
front yard. A section of the recently placed asphalt curb had
been removed to allow access for vehicles in this area.
It is my understanding that the homeowner at 790 Carla Lane had
directed the contractor to remove this segment of curb and that
the engineer inspecting the project allowed the removal unaware
that the additional curb cut was a violation. Considering the
situation, I believe that we should have the contractor replace
the curb section, particularly since we have been made aware of
the violation and have been attempting to enforce the Ordinance
in this case. Let me know what more, if anything, you need from
our office in this regard.
cc: Don Carley
Tom Sweeney
John Palacio
Page 73
4601 excelsior blvd., ste. 410, minneapolis, mn 55416 (612) 925 -9420
