MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />( July 14, 1988 <br />Minutes <br />Palmen <br />Addition <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the <br />Planning Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was <br />held on the 14th day of July, 1988 in the Council Chambers of the <br />City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Peter Costa called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and <br />the following members of the Commission were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Peter Costa, Chairman <br />Bill Davison <br />Gene DeLonais <br />Art Herkenhoff <br />Tom Perlinger <br />Peggy Schweizer <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: John Pope <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Kathy Glanzer, Recording Secretary <br />There being no corrections to the June 9th Planning Commission meeting <br />minutes, the minutes were approved as read. <br />DeLonais pointed out that on April 14, 1988 the Planning Commission <br />considered and recommended denial of the Boosalis Conditional Use <br />Permit request since Boosalis had not addressed the development of the <br />balance of his property to the east. <br />The matter was then submitted to the City Council for consideration on <br />June 8th with residential development proposed for the eastern property. <br />This proposal went directly to the Council without first being submitted <br />to the Planning Commission, and DeLonais felt that the Planning Commission <br />should have had an opportunity to review and comment on the revised plan. <br />DeLonais then pointed out that on June 9th the Planning Commission was <br />asked to comment on the revised plan after the Council had already acted <br />upon it. <br />Mr. Ron Palmen appeared before the Commission with a site plan for the <br />division of 5 acres of property he owns on Viking Drive and McMenemy Road <br />into 10 lots. Palmen explained the site plan which includes a ponding <br />area. <br />Palmen pointed out that the Williams Bros. pipeline runs through the <br />property and he would propose to keep the pipeline on the lot that would <br />be created for the existing house. An easement 50 feet on either side <br />of the pipeline is what is being requested by Williams Bros. <br />Palmen also explained that there would be an overflow pipe for the ponding <br />area. <br />Page 1 <br />
