MINUTES <br />N Council <br />(Cont'd.) <br />May 16, 1975 <br />Parxing The City has received a request from Mrs. Langevin of 225 Demont for <br />Variance removal of the no parking ban on both sides of Demont Street for <br />June 10, 1979 for a graduation party. <br />A petition was also received from some property owners on Demont <br />requesting only a limited no parking ban on Demont. Councilman <br />DeBace reported that the Condominium Homeowners Association is requesting <br />that the speed limit on Demont Avenue be studied. DeBace recommended <br />that this whole area be studied with regard to speed limits, and signing. <br />Mr. DeBace introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79 -5 -264 - GRANTING A PARKING VARIANCE TO <br />MRS. LANGEVIN OF 225 DEMONT AVENUE FOR JUNE 10, 1979 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) DeBace, Scalze, Hanson, Fahey, and Nadeau. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. e 161. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 5, Page <br />Boccie Balls Mr. DeBace introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79 -5 -265 - ACCEPTING ONE SET OF BOCCIE <br />BATES FROM THE MINNESOTA LEAGUE OF PMNICPALITIES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) DeBace, Scalze, Nadeau, Hanson, and Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. e 161. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 5, Page <br />Optican <br />The Fire Department is requesting that investigation be made into the <br />Signals costs involved in operating an Optican Signal System for the City's <br />Fire Trucks. AND A SYSTEM WHICH WOULD ALLOW THE <br />CITY FIREMEN'S CARS TO PASS THROUGH SIGNALED INTERSECTIONS <br />AND ALSO REQUESTING THE ENGINEER TO INQUIRE AS TO FEDERAL <br />GRANTS AVAILABLE.
