Mr. Joseph G. Chlebeck
April 7, 1988
Page Two
Applying the analysis to Mr. Lamotte's case, the crimes for
which he has been convicted are not extremely serious. There is
no apparent relationship between the crimes and the purposes of
regulating an auto repair shop. The crimes have no apparent
relationship to Mr. Lamotte's fitness to perform the duties
inherent in an auto repair shop. Therefore, we recommend that
the City Council determine that Mr. Lamotte's prior convictions
do not disqualify him from obtaining an auto repair license.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional
questions.
DM:cb
Very truly yours,
SWEENEY, O'CONNOR & BORER
,./43
Douglas B. Meslow
Page 16
