Forsberg pointed out that there is a lot of undeveloped industrial
property left in the City and by eliminating this from the ordinance,
the City will he protected from having additional salvage yards.
Mrs. Scalze introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption:
ORDINANCE NO. 243 - AMENDING SECTION 914.040
OF THE ZONING CODE OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA RELATING TO CONDITIONAL
USES IN AN I -1 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini.
Ayes (5) Scalze, Nardini, Fahey, Hanson, Forsberg.
Nayes (0).
Ordinance declared adopted.
The City Clerk reported that according to the City's Zoning Map, the
Poolside property has two zonings. However, the property is operating
as a B -3 piece of property. The Clerk reported that this was allowed
under the old Code, but not under the new Code.
The Planner stated that this is subject to interpretation by the Council.
Zoning appeals are heard by the Council.
Mr. Fahey commented that it was never the intention of the City, in
adopting the new Zoning Map, to cut a piece of property in half by
its zoning. Fahey felt that the Zoning Map should be amended to
include the entire Poolside property as B -3.
Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 84 -11 -535 - INSTRUCTING THE
CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN AMENDMENT TO THE
ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP BY EXTENDING
THE B -3 ZONING DISTRICT LINE TO ALL OF LOT
53- 00600 - 050 -80 PAGE -8-
