MINUTES <br />Planning Commission <br />June 9, 1988 <br />Bwana Davison asked if the archery business would be the only one on the site. <br />Archery <br />CUP (Cont.) Larson replied that it would. <br />Palmen <br />Addition <br />Herkenhoff asked the application of archery. <br />Larson reported that the people using the facility are not only hunters, <br />but also competitive archers and recreational archers. Larson reported <br />that they also have archery leagues operating at his present location. <br />DeLonais asked the size of the building proposed. <br />Larson replied that he is considering a 60 by 140 foot building at this <br />time, but may have to scale that size down somewhat to meet parking <br />requirements. <br />Davison asked what the proposed building would be constructed from. <br />Larson reported that he is planning a steel building to make the proposal <br />cost effective. <br />The Planner noted that steel buildingsare allowed in this area. <br />Davison recommended concept conditional use permit approval for Bwana <br />Archery. <br />Motion seconded by Herkenhoff. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />The Planner noted that the formal CUP request and site plan will come <br />before the Planning Commission. <br />The Planner reported that consideration of the Palmen development <br />proposal has been delayed until the July meeting since the applicant <br />needed to submit additional planning information. <br />Boosalis The City Planner reported that the City Council last evening acted on <br />Proposal the Boosalis development proposal, however, one of the requirements <br />was that the Planning Commission review the proposal for the residential <br />development to the east. <br />The Planner described the Boosalis commercial development proposed <br />noting that a 50 foot setback has been provided to the Townsley property <br />on the north and a 20 foot building separation between the two commercial <br />buildings has been established. <br />The Planner then described the residential portion of the development <br />pointing out that four of the County Road C properties are zoned B -3. <br />Page 6 <br />
