c. One official from a health services organization that serves <br />one or more participating community. <br />d. One housing and redevelopment authority (HRA) commissioner from <br />a participating community; <br />e. One official from each financial sponsor other than the <br />participating communities; <br />f . One senior outreach worker who is familiar with older adults in <br />the study area; <br />g . One manager of a seniors' residence that is located within the <br />study area; <br />h . One official from Washington County's home -share referral <br />program; and <br />i. One person who is aware of available sources of persons who want <br />to be live -ins. <br />j. Or any other person(s) or interest(s) deemed appropriate by the <br />commission. <br />3.2 Commissioner Appointments <br />a. Commissioners to represent a group of similar parties shall be <br />appointed by those parties. -If a group cannot agree on a <br />representative, then the Commission shall determine by <br />selection or by lot. Vacancies shall be filled in the same manner. <br />The Commission shall solicit candidates for commission <br />representatives under Items 3.1 (b), (c), (d), (f) and (g) . <br />b. Commissioners serving an the Pilot Program Steering Commission <br />shall have the opportunity to serve on the Suburban Home Share <br />Commission, at their organization's discretion. <br />c. Each commissioner is entitled to one alternate. <br />d. The length of each commissioner and alternate term shall be left <br />to the discretion of the organization /interest they represent. <br />e. Commissioner and alternate terms shall become effective upon <br />designation by their respective interest(s), except for those <br />commissioners who will represent the participating communities. In <br />which case, their respective community must enter into this <br />agreement before their term becomes effective. <br />3.3 Compensation and Expenses <br />Commissioners shall not be entitled to compensation or reimbursement for <br />expenses from the Commission to attend its meetings. <br />Page 60 <br />
