not apply to such minor accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or <br />other having the care and custody of the minor or when the minor is upon <br />some necessary errand by permission or direction of his or her parents, <br />guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, <br />which said permission shall be in writing and signed by such parent, <br />guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor. <br />1202.020. CUSTODY OF MINOR AND RESPONSIBILITY. It shall be unlawful <br />for the parent, guardian or other adult having the care and custody of a <br />minor under the age of eighteen (18) years of age to permit such minor to <br />loiter, idle or be in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, <br />parks, playgrounds, or other public grounds, public places and buildings, <br />places of amusement, entertainment or refreshment, vacant lots or other <br />unsupervised places between the hours of 10:00 o'clock p.m. and 5:00 <br />o'clock a.m. of the following day; provided, however that the provisions <br />of this Section shall not apply when the minor is accompanied by his or <br />her parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of <br />the minor or when the minor is upon some necessary errand by permission or <br />direction of his or her parent, guardian or other adult person having the <br />care and custody of the minor. <br />1202.030. MANAGEMENT OF PUBLIC PLACE. It shall be unlawful for any <br />person, firm or corporation operating or in charge of any place of <br />amusement, entertainment, or refreshment to permit any minor under the age <br />of eighteen (18) years of age to remain in such place during the hours <br />prohibited by this Code; provided, however that the provisions of this <br />Code shall not apply when such minor is accompanied by his or her parent, <br />guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor. <br />1202.040. SCHOOL NIGHTS DESIGNATED BY MAYOR UPON REQUEST. The Mayor, <br />upon the request of the Superintendent of the Public Schools of the City <br />of Little Canada, may designate certain nights during the school year as <br />"school nights" at such times as said schools shall be engaged in <br />athletic, musical, dramatic or social activities for the benefit or <br />entertainment of its students. The provisions of Sections 1202.010 and <br />1202.020 of this Code o] ,l_ not t..app y to any student under the age of <br />eighteen (18) years of age or to his parent, guardian or other adult <br />person having the care and custody of such minor who is lawfully going to, <br />attending or returning from any such school function on any designated <br />"school night" or "youth night ". <br />1202.050. VIOLATION. Any minor under the age of eighteen (18) years, <br />parent, guardian or other adult person having care and custody of a minor <br />under the age of eighteen (18) years, or any person, firm or corporation, <br />who shall violate any of the terms or provisions of this Code shall be <br />guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction, be punished according <br />to law. <br />(Source: Ord. 32) <br />1203.
