The City has the ability to enforce retroactively certain <br />performance standards, and parking requirements are one of them. <br />Frattalone stated that he did not agree with Schultz's comments about <br />his paving. <br />Costa pointed out that the Building Inspector will review the paving <br />and determine if it is adequate. <br />The Planner informed Frattalone that under the CUP his whole building <br />would have to be used for storage and if it is not, the CUP would <br />expire at the end of one year. At that time, Frattalone would have to <br />reapply. <br />Frattalone stated that that was fine, pointing out that he uses some <br />of the building for storage. <br />Mr. DeLonais recommended approval of the Frank Frattalone Conditional <br />Use Permit for indoor storage at his property at 102 W County Road C <br />for Prairie Fire Sprinkler System subject to the recommendations of the <br />City Planner as contained in his February 11, 1988 report. <br />Motion seconded by Herkenhoff. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />Text The City Planner reviewed the proposed text amendment which would <br />Amendment exclude single- family residential development and two - family development <br />from the curbing and striping requirements under the Ordinance. <br />The Planner explained that due to the amendment recently passed <br />requiring paving of two- family development and greater, this amendment <br />is necessary to exclude the curbing and striping requirements of the <br />ordinance. <br />Sign <br />Ordinance <br />The Planner noted that 3- family developments and greater would have to <br />have paved parking areas that are curbed and striped. <br />Mr. Davison recommended adoption of the ordinance amendment excluding <br />single - family and two - family developments from curbing and striping <br />requirements. <br />Motion seconded by Perlinger. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />The City Planner reported that Larry Lee has informed the Council that <br />he intends to reapply for a sign variance for the Slumberland development. <br />Therefore, the Council has asked for a comparison of the City's sign <br />ordinance with that of other cities.
