It has been nearly six years <br />since I last asked for an increase in the fees. <br />During the past six years, the costs of wages, rent, transportation, <br />insurance, telephones, postage, and other business related expenses <br />have increased steadily each year. We are now at a point where we <br />can no longer absorb the increased cost without raising the fees. <br />The proposed fees are already in effect in the city of Shoreview, <br />The State Board of Electricity will increase the fees for electrical <br />inspections effective April 11, 1988.
