MINUTES <br />Planning Commission <br />April 14, 1988 <br />The Planner thought this would be a possibility, however, the ordinance <br />could be structured so this would not happen. <br />The Planner suggested that the Commission might want to give this <br />issue some thought and address it at a future meeting. <br />DeLonais recommended tabling proposed Ordinance No. 298 AMENDING SECTION <br />912 OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY CODE, KNOWN AS THE LITTLE CANADA ZONING <br />ORDINANCE REGARDING ACCESSORY RESIDENTIAL APARTMENTS FOR CERTAIN <br />BUSINESSES IN THE B -3, GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT. <br />Motion seconded by Schweizer. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />Timmons Costa reported that due to business commitments, Sharon Timmons has <br />Resignation resigned from the Planning Commission. <br />City DeLonais noted the City brochure received by Planning Commission <br />Brochure members this evening, which was developed by the Economic Development <br />Committee to promote the City. <br />Slumberland Costa expressed concern with Slumberland's violation of City ordinances. <br />The Planner reported that a letter is being sent to Slumberland <br />informing them of their violations and that they must eliminate <br />the semi -truck parking on their site. Such a use would require a <br />conditional use permit. <br />DeLonais asked if semi -truck parking would have to be screened. <br />The Planner reported that the Zoning District permits internal <br />terminal facility on the site. <br />Costa asked about landscaping. <br />The Planner replied that landscaping will be completed this Spring. <br />City Center <br />Expansion <br />Bill Blesener appeared before the Commission and presented a report <br />from Short, Elliott, Hendrickson as well as a proposed lay -out for <br />expansion of the City Center. Blesener reported that he would like <br />to get input and comments from the various City Commissions and staff <br />on the lay -out. Blesener explained the process that was involved in <br />developing the lay -out that is before the Commission this evening. <br />DeLonais asked about the new Council Chambers being proposed. <br />Page 13 <br />
