MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />April 14, 1988 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the <br />Planning Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was <br />held on the 14th day of April, 1988 in the Council Chambers of the <br />City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Peter Costa called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and <br />the following members of the Commission were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Peter Costa, Chairman <br />Bill Davison <br />Gene DeLonais <br />Art Herkenhoff <br />Peggy Schweizer <br />Tom Perlinger <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Sharon Timmons <br />ALSO PRESENT: Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Kathy Glanzer, Recording Secretary <br />Minutes There being no corrections to the March 10, 1988 Planning Commission <br />meeting, the minutes stood approved as read. <br />Peterson Mr. Vernon Peterson, 2857 Vanderbie, appeared before the Commission <br />Conditional and reported that he would like to construct a double garage on his <br />Use Permit property. Peterson reported that since he already has a tuck -under <br />garage, a conditional use permit is required. Peterson stated that <br />he would be using the garage for a workshop for a woodworking hobby <br />he has. <br />Peterson reported that the garage he would like to construct is 624 <br />square feet in size. <br />The City Planner reported that accessory garages are allowed by <br />conditional use permit up to 1,000 square feet in size. <br />The Planner asked when the Peterson house was built. <br />Peterson replied that his home was constructed during the 1950's. <br />The Planner pointed out that since the house was constructed prior <br />to 1980, a 5 foot setback is required for the garage. The Planner <br />recommended approval of the CUP provided that the woodworking hobby <br />was not used for commercial purposes. <br />Peterson replied that it would not and is strictly a hobby. <br />Page 1 <br />
