MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 13, 2013 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 13th day of <br />June, 2013 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Dan Knudsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Ms. Jennifer Maleitzke <br />Ms. Heidi Murphy <br />Mr. Nick Schwalbach <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Ms. Vanessa Van Alstine, Cable TV <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />MINUTES The April 11, 2013 Planning Commission meeting minutes were approved <br />as submitted. <br />CUP'S, Russ Fischer, 200 -208 Ryan Drive, appeared before the Commission <br />IUP — requesting approval of the following: <br />200 -208 *Amendment of Conditional Use Permit for outdoor storage <br />RYAN (accessory use); <br />DRIVE — *Interim Use Permit for Off-Site Outdoor Storage; <br />RUSS *Conditional Use Permit for Auto- Repair Major; <br />FISCHER *Renewal of lapsed Conditional Use Permit for storage containers; <br />*Conditional Use Permit for proof of parking. <br />Fischer reported that he has only been able to lease his property at 200- <br />208 Ryan Drive to auto mechanics. The mechanics have the need to park <br />vehicles outdoors overnight that are scheduled to be repaired the next day. <br />Fischer described the outdoor storage areas on the site plan as well as the <br />recommendations as contained in the Code Enforcement Officer's report <br />relative to the screening of these storage areas. Knudsen pointed out that <br />using slats in a chain -line fence is no longer an acceptable screening <br />method. Fischer indicated that he would be utilizing both landscaping as <br />well as a wooden fence for screening. <br />
