L��RING Th O(IflT.0 M t HMI Memo TO: Honorable Mayor & City Council Members FROM: Lee Elfering, City Engineer DATE: June 19, 2013 RE: No Parking Resolution — Little Canada Road As the Council is aware the City is working jointly with Ramsey County on the improvement of Little Canada Road from Interstate I -35E to Edgerton Street. While the street is not on the City's Municipal State Aid system it is a County Road and therefore several of the City costs are eligible for Municipal State Aid reimbursement if state aid design standards are met. One such standard is to have a "No Parking" resolution passed outlining where parking is permitted and where parking will not be allowed. The attached resolution establishes that no parking will be allowed on Little Canada Road from the Interstate to Edgerton Street except on the north side of the roadway from Station 310 +20 to 315 +75 and on the south side of the roadway from 309 +70 to 310 +40 where parking lanes meeting state aid standards are provided. We would ask that the City Council pass the attached "No Parking" resolution for Little Canada Road, thereby allowing reimbursement of eligible City state aid costs on the project through the City's state aid fund.
