Multiple bidding of the project allows the receipt <br />of the lowest responsible bidder in all project components. <br />Under a typical GC project, a general will have a number of <br />subs providing bids. Research has indicated that subs do <br />not necessarily submit the same bid to all contractors. <br />Furthermore, not all contractors may have the same subs <br />giving them prices. Therefore, the chances are poor that <br />the GC who would have the lowest responsible bid would also <br />have all the lowest sub bids.
