PURCHASE <br />OF 2858 <br />CENTERVILLE <br />ROAD FOR <br />PUBLIC <br />WORKS <br />GARAGE <br />SITE <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 20, 2013 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 20th day of <br />June, 2013 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Ms. Shelly Boss <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />City Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />Mayor Blesener reported that the purpose of this special meeting is <br />to consider the proposed purchase agreement for 2858 Centerville Road <br />(the former Brings Onion property) for a new Public Works Garage site. <br />The City Administrator presented the proposed purchase agreement <br />which has been reviewed by the City Attorney who made some minor <br />modifications from the original draft. The purchase price is proposed <br />at $675,000. The Administrator indicated that if the agreement is <br />approved by the Council, the goal would be to close on the property on or <br />before June 30, 2013 so that the City can file for tax - exempt status for <br />2014. <br />McGraw asked about the timetable for redeveloping the site. The <br />Administrator indicated that the next step would be to hire an architect as <br />well as decide on whether or not a construction management approach <br />would be taken for this project. The Administrator suggested that the <br />1993 building that exists on the site should be evaluated to determine if it <br />would work as a storage building for Public Works. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -6 -106 — APPROVING THE PURCHASE <br />AGREEMENT FOR 2858 CENTERVILLE ROAD FOR A PUBLIC <br />WORKS GARAGE SITE AT A PURCHASE PRICE OF $675,000, <br />
