November 6, 1984
Ramsey County
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
167 Courthouse
St. Paul, Minnesota 55102
(612) 298 -4127
Mr. Joseph G. Chlebeck
Clerk - Treasurer
City of Little Canada
515 East Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minnesota 55117
City Participation in Little Canada Road
Bridge Project, S.P. 6280 -233
KENNETH E. WELTZIN
Director
and
County Engineer
PHYLLIS F. SPECKER
Deputy Director
The plans for the Little Canada Road and Centerville Road portions of this
project provide for storm sewers. The estimated cost is $51,070.00; Little
Canada's share will be approximately $12,767.50 based on the assumption
that 75 percent will be eligible for county state aid highway funding.
That actual percentage cannot be determined until the Hydraulics Unit of
Mn /DOT has reviewed the plans. The Little Canada Road and Centerville
Road portions also will have concrete curb and gutter at an estimated cost
of $22,560.00 for which the City will be requested to pay 75 percent or
$16,920.00.
Racine Drive, a city street, will have to be reconstructed as part of this
project. If it is eligible for CSAH funds, Little Canada will be requested
to pay 75 percent of the concrete curb and gutter estimated to cost
$1,200.00, City cost $900.00. If Racine Drive is not eligible for CSAH
funds, the City would be requested to pay the estimated reconstruction cost
of $4,142.00.
The Little Canada Road /Centerville Road bikeways estimated cost, $6,572.00,
will be funded by Ramsey County road and bridge funds.
The signal at Little Canada Road and Centerville Road would, under current
policy, be funded two - thirds CSAH funds, $50,000.00, and one -third County
road and bridge funds, $25,000.00.
0 li 6
RgT2117Ci
NOV 7 1984
CITY OF
LITTLE CANADA
