MIMUTES OF TiIE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />December 6, 1984 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of. the <br />Planning Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was <br />held on the 6th day of December, 1984 in the Council Chambers of <br />the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Peter Costa called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M. and <br />the following were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Peter Costa <br />Bill Davison <br />Thomas Ducharme <br />Gene DeLonais <br />Roy French <br />Art Herkenhoff <br />Karolyn Kingsbury <br />Thomas Perlinger <br />Sharon Timmons <br />ALSO PRESENT: Steve Gri.ttman, City Planner <br />Kathleen Glanzer, Recording Secretary <br />(- ..,..,Approval There being no corrections to the November 8 Planning Commission <br />Of The minutes, Peter Costa indicated that the minutes were approved as <br />Minutes read. <br />Tom Tubbessing 9r. Jim Speckleman, attorney representing Tom Tubessing, appeared <br />Auto Sales before the Commission. Mr. Speckleman described the nature of the <br />ooeration known as Tom's Autos in that Mr. Tubessing buys and sells <br />damaged automobiles and also retails some repossessed cars. <br />Mr. Speckleman reported that there have been complaints about the <br />parking situation at Tom's Autos and this is the reason that they <br />are before the commission to clear this matter up and also to <br />inform the commission of some additional blacktop they would like <br />to install to correct a drainage problem. <br />Mr. Speckleman reported that there is a drainage problem on the west <br />side of the parking lot and they would like to raise this area.and <br />install 10 additional feet of blacktop. This will cause the water to <br />drain around the back of the building as was originally intended. <br />Also Mr. Tubessing will he doing some remodeling inside the building <br />itself by moving the offices to the center of the building and making <br />room for 6 additional cars to he narked inside the building. By doing <br />this all damaged cars can be parking inside and the only cars that <br />will be parked outside will he retail sales cars and employee cars. <br />Mr. Speckleman reported that the retails sales is not the major part <br />of Mr. T.uhessing's business, but i_t does occur. <br />Page —1— <br />
