MINUTES <br />City Council <br />July 25, 1984 <br />Thunder Bay <br />Addition <br />(Cont.) <br />Mr. Fahey felt that there should be a solution to the park charge question, <br />the cul -de -sac, and that the existing homes should be shown on the plat <br />before the Council makes a decision. <br />Mr. Holzschuh asked the Council's plans for Allen Avenue. Mr. Fahey <br />replied that the Councilfeels that Allen should go through to Payne <br />Avenue. <br />Mr. Holzschuh stated that he has property tied up until Allen Avenue <br />goes through. Holzschuh also stated that the Fire Department would <br />like the street to go through. <br />Mr. Holzschuh felt that the City was holding up Alien Avenue. Mr. <br />Forsberg stated that the City is not in the development business and <br />only acts on what developers bring in. Scalze stated that the City <br />has always recommended that Allen Avenue go through. <br />Mary Peterson, a resident of the area, stated that she was concerned <br />that Allen Avenue would go through right across from her driveway. <br />Mr. Fahey stated that it appears that Allen Avenue will go through <br />where it is shown. <br />Fahey stated that the Engineer should review the plat with regard to <br />drainage and roads. Fahey stated that the plat should be compared with <br />the City's thoroughfare plan. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84 -7 -327 - CLOSING THE PUBLIC <br />HEARINGON THE THUNDER BAY ADDITION PRELIMINARY <br />PLAT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />Ayes (5) Nardini, Forsberg, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 11, Page 345. <br />Mrs. Scalze indicated that if Mr. Ceka does not like the Park Commission <br />recommendation, he will have to work with them on it. Scalze stated <br />that the next Park Commission meeting is August 16. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84 -7 -328 - 'TABLING ACTION ON THE <br />THUNDER BAY PRELIMINARY PLAT AND REFERRING THE <br />PLAT TO THE ENGINEER FOR TOTAL DRAINAGE CONSIDERATION <br />OF THE AREA AND FEASIBILITY OF TIIE ROADS AS PROPOSED <br />IN COMPARISON WITH TIIE THOROIIGIIFARE PLAN ADOPTED <br />6( <br />V <br />
