MINUTES <br />City Council <br />July 25, 1984 <br />Thunder Bay <br />Addition <br />(Cont.) <br />BY THE COUNCIL FOR THE AREA AND REFERRING THE <br />ADDITION TO THE PLANNER AND OTHER CITY STAFF <br />MEMBERS FOR COMMENTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Forsberg. <br />Ayes (4) Fahey, Forsberg, Nardini, Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 11, Page 346. <br />Duray Mr. Fahey reported that the Planning Commission tabled action on <br />Conditional the Tom Duray conditional use permit requests until the Engineer <br />Use Permits has reviewed the drainage in the area. <br />Agenda Mr. Tom Duray appeared before the Council requesting approval of a <br />Item No. 10 conditional use permit for off -site parking for Lot 4, and a conditional <br />use permit PUD for Lot 5 for a self- service car wash. <br />Miss Karin Peterson of 65 Demont appeared before the Council and <br />reported that she had concerns with the grading of the property. <br />Peterson submitted a letter recommended by her Attorney requesting <br />that the City assure that the grading will be adequate so that there <br />is no run -off onto her property nor accumulation of any water in her <br />basement. <br />Mrs. Scalze commented that Miss Peterson stated at the Planning <br />Commission meeting that since Mr. Anderson graded and filled his <br />property, she has gotten water in her basement. Peterson stated <br />that this is true, but since Mr. Duray put in the swale along -the <br />property line, the problem has been resolved. <br />Mr. Forsberg commented that the Anderson property was being used <br />as a swale until he filled his property. <br />Mr. Duray reported that he has hired an Engineer to do a topo study <br />of Lots 3, 4, and 5 and come up with a sufficient grading plan and <br />determination of run -off, and develop a plan to handle the drainage. <br />This will he presented to the City Engineer for review. <br />Miss Peterson stated that they were concerned about hours of operation <br />and asked for restricted hours during the week. <br />Mr. Fahey suggested that Miss Peterson will have to address her concerns <br />again when the matter goes before the Planning commission and then come <br />hack to the Council. <br />Mr. Forsberg stated that he has problems with Miss Peterson's letter, <br />and did not feel that the city could guarantee there would never be any <br />run -off onto the Peterson property. <br />it, <br />
