STATE OF
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
1200 Warner Road, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55106
PHONENO. 296 -7523
July 30, 1984
Mr. Edward Locke
City of Little Canada
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minnesota 55117
RE: SCHLETTY WOODS, TRACTS A, B & D
Dear Mr. Locke:
FILE NO.
On July 25, 1984, I met with Mr. Edward G. Hitchcock and Mr. Fred
Schletty to review their proposal to split Tracts A -D (as shown
on their lot split plan) off of existing Outlot A of Schletty
Woods. My concerns regarding this split are as follows:
-We have identified a protected wetland (basin ;62- 153W),
which lies on or near the eastern edge of proposed Tract A.
Any alteration which would affect this basin would require
a permit from this Department.
-It would appear that each of the proposed lots contains
a significant amount of area within the 100 -year flood plain.
Any development of these lots must be consistent with the
City of Little Canada's flood plain management controls.
Potential purchasers of these lots should be advised as to the
development limitations. Other development concerns should be
looked into by the City.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
S;pcerely, _A;ALfi
David P.
