MEMORANDUM
TO: Little Canada Planning Commission
FROM:
DATE:
RE:
David Licht
2 May 1984
FILE NO:
Little Canada Planning Commission
Meeting
758.09
NORTHWEST ASSOCIATED CONSULTANTS
Incorporated
4820 Minnetonka Boulevard, Suite 420
Mpls„ Mn. 55416 612/925 -9420
The Planning Commission meeting scheduled for 10 May has a number of items
which involve the developments in or around the Ryan Industrial Park. Prior
to the meeting, I would strongly urge you to visit the area and inspect the
sites, but also take general note of the condition which exists within this
area of the City.
The slum and blighted situation which presently exists, I think personally,
is totally uncalled for. I believe everybody on the Commission should take
a close look at the area to see the extent of the problem which has been
created by very recent development. When one is aware of this present
situation, I believe it becomes more understandable why our reports on the
proposed projects suggest significant improvement requirements and financial
security guaranteeing follow - through on the part of the property owners/
developer.
cc: Joe Chlebeck
Ed Locke
kY 4 1984
--tip` -6r
LITTLE CANADA
104
