Mr. David Licht
July 9, 1984
Page 2
In subsequent contact with the Ramsey County Recorders Office, however, I
was immediately confronted with another and more major obstacle in the
matter. Per Mr. William Riepe of that office, I was informed that as
purchase of the subject separate parcel is on a contract for deed basis and
as the contract will not be retired for an additional 11 years, I simply
cannot combine the separate and homestead parcels into one (there cannot be
two different owners of record for the same property). Per Mr. Riepe, the
only way around this situation is for me to retire the contract for deed,
obtain clear title and proceed. This, in effect, takes my undertaking out
of the several hundred dollar range and moves it into the several thousand
dollar range and, of course, makes it totally prohibitive.
This is the situation that I find myself in at the present time. I am
totally exasperated, totally stumped as to how to proceed, and sitting with
$900 in barn materials in my garage and a $700 tractor exposed to the
elements with the suaner rapidly slipping away. I well understand and
accept the need for ordinances and regulations to provide for orderly and
controlled development of our city, however, I cannot truly believe that the
will and intent of our city fathers, in all of their wisdom, is accurately
and properly conveyed in the situation that this resident finds himself in.
In this regard, I respectfully solicit your assistance, or the assistance of
others that you may refer this matter to, to find a sensible, reasonable,
but responsible way out of this dilema.
ctfully,
ne W. Bunde
975 Beam Ave.
Little Canada, Minnesota 55109
dc: Ed Locke
Joe Chlebeck
Little Canada City Offices
515 E.
