MINUTES
Planning Commission
Jan. 12, 1984
Election Of
Officers
Realty
World
Appendix E
Adjourn
Mr. Ducharme nominated Mr. Costa as Chairman to the Planning Commission.
The nomination was seconded by Mr. French. There being no further
nominations or objections, Mr. Costa was elected as Chairman of the
Planning Commission.
Mr. French nominated Mr. DeLonais as Vice Chairman of the Planning
Commission. The nomination was seconded by Mr. Ducharme. Kingsbury
nominated Mrs. Timmons as Vice Chairman of the Planning Commission.
Mrs. Timmons declined the nomination. There being no further nominations
or objections, Mr. DeLonais was elected as Vice Chairman of the
Planning Commission.
Mr. French asked what the Council agreed to with the Realty World sign
request. Mrs. Timmons pointed out that the lease sign was taken down.
The Planner explained that with a freestanding sign, only the square
footage of the side that is seen is counted.
Mrs. Kingsbury commented that this must have brought the total square
footage down, so that the Realty World sign was permitted.
Mr. Grittman reported that the Sign Committee will be at the next Council
meeting to make a recommendation on the City's sign ordinance.
Mr. Ducharme reported that the Council held a workshop meeting on
Appendix E and the Council is still unclear on how Appendix E effects
an existing building with a new addition.
Mr. DeLonais asked if a greenhouse would have to be sprinklered. The
Planner stated that this would fall under the category of a farm or
agricultural building and would not have to be sprinklered.
Mr. DeLonais stated that the City should take items under consideration
for a couple of months time to avoid acting too quickly on controversial
items.
Mr. Ducharme recommended that the meeting he adjourned.
Motion seconded by Mr. French.
Motion carried 7 0.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:10 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Lr
Kathleen Glanzer
Recording Secretary
Pa?.
