MINUTES <br />Planning Commission <br />March 8, 1984 <br />Nardini Mrs. Nardini pointed out that whatever goes in on the property <br />Rezoning the City will require be buffered. <br />(Cont.) <br />Kingsbury stated that if the adjacent homes were zoned R -1 or R -2, <br />the City would require the buffering. Nardini stated that the City <br />would require this anyway. <br />Mr. Crittman stated that the Council would listen to the property <br />owners recommendations in the matter. <br />Mr. Ducharme asked if the residences would object if there was <br />buffering. Mr. Villeaux stated that he would not object to anything <br />if there was no hassle to the neighbors. <br />Mrs. Peterson stated that she would like her property zoned R -1. <br />Mrs. Timmons pointed out that the owner of the property next to the <br />Speedy Market was given a lot of consideration during the Speedy <br />Market remodeling. <br />Nardini stated that she would inform anyone purchasing the property <br />that she would advocate for good buffering for the neighbors. <br />Mr. ? lerkenhoff asked if the neighbors would object to the extention <br />of 'loggshreath parking lot. Mrs. Peterson said that she would even <br />with buffering. <br />Mrs. Timmons pointed out that Mr.Durray could come in for the parking <br />lot expansion arYlthe City could turn it down. Then another developer <br />could come in with another project, ardthe City could rezone the <br />property for this developer. The whole deal could fall through and <br />Mr. Durray could then pick up the property with the 13 -3 zoning. <br />Mrs. Timmons recommended that the Nardini property he rezoned from R -2 <br />to R -3 based on the fact that it is spot zoned R -2 in a 3 -3 business <br />district including the residential homes to the east. <br />Motion seconded by Mrs. Kingsbury. <br />Those in favor were Mrs. Timmons and Mrs. Kingsbury. <br />Those against were Mr. DeLonais, Mr. Ilerkenhoff, and Mr. Ducharme. <br />Those abstaining were Mr. French and Mr. Costa. <br />Mr. DeLonais recommended that the Nardini rezoning matter be tabled. <br />Motion seconded by Mr. Costa. <br />Those in favor were Messrs. Costa, DeLonais, Perkenhoff, French, Ducharme. <br />Those abstaining were Mrs. Timmons and Mrs. Kingsbury. <br />Page —2- <br />
