Government Employee Initiative <br />- Government employees located throughout the com- <br />munity can be a significant force in census promo- <br />tion. Thus, the goal of this initiative is to make <br />government employees "census smart" by suggest- <br />ing a series of awareness activities that govern- <br />ments can implement for their employees. <br />1. Precensus Activities Now - 03/22/90 <br />(a) Place census posters encouraging employ- <br />ees to be counted in all government offices. <br />(b) Place bumper stickers on government vehi- <br />cles, except police, showing "Census Day <br />April 1." <br />(c) Begin (October 1989) distributing "all employee" <br />memoranda on the importance of the cen- <br />sus. <br />2.
