Item 6 Provision of one -half hour rating at corridor louvers by installation of <br />one -half hour rated fusible link - actuated fire dampers (visual concealment with <br />louvers both sides of fire damper is optional) only above 4 gymnasium east doors. <br />Replace media center doors with 1 3/4" solid core wood doors and closers. <br />Replace 2 gymnasium north door transoms with 1 3/4" solid core wood panels. <br />(1/2 hour rating is required since the building is to be provided at a later date <br />with an automatic sprinkler system). <br />Item 8 Replace corridor glazing with 1/4" wired glass in metal frames only at <br />2 gymnasium north door side lights and library transom panel. Modifications to <br />the corridor glazing at the existing administrative office will not be necessary <br />since those spaces are to be utilized for instruction /counseling when the new <br />building opens. <br />3) Compliance must occur no later than 8/31/90: <br />Item 7 Installation of an approved hydraulically calculated automatic sprinkler <br />system throughout the existing building. No kitchen hood sprinkler protection is <br />required if greese laden cooking vapors are not to be produced. <br />Applicable codes utilized in preparation of the order are: NFPA 101 (1981 Edition) <br />Uniform Fire Code (1982 Edition) and Minnesota Rules (1983 Edition). <br />A variance request to the Minnesota Uniform Fire Code with regard to above order <br />must be sought for items in paragraphs #2 and #3 above. The variance must be first <br />sought from the Little Canada City Council. Council action may be to either endorse <br />the variance; to deny or modify the variance, or to defer the matter to the State Fire <br />Marshal Code Advisory Panel. <br />Page 9 <br />
