MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />January 12, 1989 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the <br />Planning Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held <br />on the 12th day of January, 1989 in the Council Chambers of the <br />City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Peter Costa called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and <br />the following members of the Commission were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Peter Costa, Chairman <br />Gene DeLonais <br />Art Herkenhoff <br />Peggy Schweizer <br />Bill Davison <br />Bob Peterson <br />Dave Bendel <br />ALSO PRESENT: Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Kathy Glanzer, Recording Secretary <br />Minutes There being no corrections to theminutes of the November 10, 1988 <br />Commission meeting, the minutes will stand approved as read. <br />Frank Mr. Frank Frattalone appeared before the Commission reporting that <br />Frattalone his property was recently rezoned by the City from I -1 to I -P. Frattalone <br />Rezoning reported that he had objected to the rezoning and now is requesting <br />that a portion of his property be rezoned hack to I -1. <br />Frattalone reported that his property has been developed for multi- <br />purpose and could be used by either an excavating company, truck <br />terminal, heavy manufacturer, etc. Frattalone reported that his <br />property was developed in this way with resale in the future in mind. <br />Therefore, Frattalone pointed out that while his current use of the <br />property is grandfathered in, the rezoning of his property to I -P <br />devalues the property for resale purposes. <br />Frattalone pointed out that a portion of his site could be divided <br />and the property fronting along South Owasso could be developed. <br />Frattalone reported that he is requesting that the portion of property <br />along South Owasso remain I -P, but that the remaining property be <br />rezoned back to I -1. <br />Frattalone also described his current site, which he pointed out <br />exceed the standards of the zoning at the time it was developed. <br />Frattalone pointed out that he has a blacktop road, concrete curb <br />and gutter and a wooden fence in addition to his block building. <br />Frattalone stated that he can understand the City's desire to upgrade <br />the industrial park in this area, however, pointed out that he located <br />Page -1- <br />
