MINUTES
Emergency Services Committee
March 1, 1989
John Vitale mentioned that he would look in his records for
a soil test. Mike Zilinski, a Staff Officer for Apac,
indicated he would prepare some kind of a report pertaining
to the construction cost of a shelter. Dick Boss mentioned
that we have asked for recommendations from other State
Agencies regarding public safety. Due to the complexities
or other legislation very seldom does the City receive
adequate information from the State Agencies. The answers
we do receive are sometimes not appropriate and leaves the
conclusions to be made by the City. He further stated for
the interest of public safety, we are obliged to get people
out of other dangers. If you stay there are other dangers.
It is those other dangers that we have to look at. We have
problems with ingress and agress. The more people that stay
on the site the harder it is to deal with.
This matter will be on the agenda at the April 12 City
Council meeting. There being no other business the meeting
was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
ad'ew
Joseph G. Chlebeck
Page 13
