RESOLUTIONS <br />City Council; <br />September -.28 ;° 4988 <br />FinaServe, Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />-Sign <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88 -9 -410 - <br />A RESOLUTION TABLING ACTION ON THE FINASERVE SIGN <br />VARIANCE REQUEST PENDING FURTHER STUDY BY THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY'S SIGN ORDINANCE, WITH DIRECTION TO THE <br />CITY PLANNER TO RESEARCH THIS MATTER AND BE PREPARED <br />TO DISCUSS IT AT THE OCTOBER 26, 1988 REGULAR COUNCIL <br />MEETING <br />WHEREAS, <br />AND WHEREAS, <br />Mr. Al Dineher appeared before the Council requesting <br />action on the FinaServe request to allow their existing <br />sign to remain on the property <br />The Council discussed the fact that the City's sign height <br />provision is based on the square footage of a building rather <br />than zoning district which is the way a great many cities <br />base their sign height requirement <br />AND WHEREAS, <br />Council felt the issue of sign height should be investigated <br />further, before the Council takes action on the FinaServe <br />request <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />That Council hereby tables action on the FinaServe sign <br />variance request pending further styd by the Council of <br />the City's Sign Ordinance. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Collova, Scalze, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Page 55 <br />
