Metafile program to be run on the PC (Personal Computer) and <br />requires a modem connection to the State mainframe for <br />transfer of data. <br />Another reason for the automation of the cities is the <br />possibility for tieing into the applications that have been <br />implemented for the counties and will soon be available for <br />the cities. They are the automated update of Needs and <br />Bridge Inventory, and the access of Project Tracking <br />information. Also, the cities will be able to access TIS <br />(Traffic Information Systems) data and Accident Report data <br />directly. Accessing the computer bulletin board to share <br />files and information is another advantage of having your <br />own computer. <br />One other application being developed at this time <br />the State Aid Finance Office.
